WIRED Futures Conference 2025: AI Organic Alignment

Ken Suzuki and Mizuki Oka participated in the closing session of WIRED Futures Conference 2025, a two-day conference exploring the convergence of AI and quantum computing. Their session, titled ‘AI Organic Alignment: Toward AI for a Pluralistic Society’, explored how artificial life research addresses the challenge of transformational creativity in AI.

While current AI demonstrates combinatorial and exploratory creativity within existing rules, it struggles with transformational creativity that rewrites the rules themselves. The discussion examined how ALife approaches can help develop AI systems that support pluralistic societies.

The conference took place on September 29-30, 2025 at EVENT SPACE EBiS303 in Tokyo.
