  • • Born in Nagano, Japan, in 1975. B.S. in Physics from Keio University (1998). Ph.D. in Academic Studies from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, The University of Tokyo (2009).
  • • Previously Chief Researcher at the Center for Global Communications (GLOCOM), International University of Japan, and Fellow at the Tokyo Foundation's Virtual Institution. Co-founded SmartNews Inc. in 2012.
  • • Areas of expertise: complex systems science and natural philosophy.
  • • Author of _Nameraka na Shakai to Sono Teki_ (The Smooth Society and Its Enemies); co-translator of Andy Clark's _Being There: Putting Brain, Body, and World Together Again_.
